I posted a list of EOC problems from Chapter 14 for you to work on. There will not be another MasteringPhysics assignment. I will determine your homework grade from 8 of the 9 MP assignments, dropping the lowest score. Have a great Thanksgiving break.

I had unexpected eye surgery on Saturday and therefore will not be on campus this week. However, the plan is for a substitute instructor to give lectures Tuesday (11/17) and Thursday (11/19) on Chapter 14 (Waves). Therefore, Test No. 4 will be postponed until Thursday 12/3. We will review for Test No. 4 and the Final Exam on Tuesday 12/1. If all goes well, I plan to hold problem sessions Tuesday 12/1 and sometime the week of 12/7. Stay tuned for further details. Thanks for your patience, Phillip.

I have posted an example test no. 3 and the equation sheet. We will have a problem session Tuesday (10/27) 4-5:30pm in room 254. I will also have office hour from 1-1:50pm just before the test on Thursday. Otherwise, if you have questions I can respond via email. Also, if you have a fever, a severe cough, and/or flu-like symptoms on Thursday, do not come to class. Just email me to let me know. We can arrange for a make-up test a week or so later.

My office hours are cancelled on Monday and Tuesday as I'll be out of town. The TA, Mr. Luning Wang, will have extended hours on Monday 9:30-11am and 3:30-5pm. You can see him in room 326 of the Physics Building. Also, I posted the equation sheet for the test. Good luck and see you on Thursday.

I placed the correlation table for the EOC problems from Walker at the bottom of the homework assignment page. It relates the 4th edition problem numbers to the 3rd edition, but it is in Excel.

On the MasteringPhysics main page for the course, there is a table which gives a correlation between the 3rd and 4th editions of Walker for the end-of-chapter problems. It is on the right side under "Learn More:". I list the assigned problems from the 4th edition.
