My research involves the characterization and applications of nonlinear optical properties of materials (e.g. Ag nanorod arrays, organic dyes) which arise from their response to intense optical pulses (duration on the order of 100 picoseconds). This includes the design of experiments (e.g. Z-scan), programming of data acquisition/analysis code, and comparison with numerical models.
